We’re Moving

And by we I mean me – the royal we if you will. A whole new website right over here. Except it’s all the same. I hope to see you there.

This week it’s scenes from Murano. Murano was beautiful and wonderfully devoid of turists. It is full of window boxes, colorful shutters, and blown glass in strange places

This was my home for a few days in Italy, a beautiful villa in Modena. And yes, it did smell like flowers.

When In Rome

Where have you been lately? I’ve been gallivanting around Italy. It smells like flowers there; at least it does in the North. I saw some really beautiful things and drew some really beautiful things.  I’m excited to share them with you.

I went to Portland, Oregon three weeks ago and fell in love. Everyone was nice, cars stopped for pedestrians without honking, and the whole city seemed to smell like donuts.  I was there on a work trip so I didn’t have much free time to explore the city but I did eat some amazing food at 23 Hoyt including the most delicious facaccia bread with a mascarpone like spread.  I also managed to visit a few tasty food trucks.  I want to go back.  I got one sketch in while I was there, the view from the concierge lounge of my hotel.  It does not do the city justice.
